First, before you do anything, make sure ActiveSync 3.7 is installed correctly (Click here to download ActiveSync 3.7 from Microsoft). Also make sure your device is hooked up properly to its power supply and the host computer. You need to be sure you are able to successfully synchronize from the desktop to your handheld device. After synchronization is successful continue to the next step. |
Next, open ActiveSync and wait til the status of your device is Connected and Synchronized.
Click the Options button, to bring up the Options screen. Make sure that Pocket Access is checked. This must be done before you are able to transfer data between the desktop and your mobile device.
Before synchronization can occur, it is necessary to import the WindentCF database to the mobile device using ActiveSync. While ActiveSync is running and your device is connected, select Import Database Tables from the Tools menu.
Next, an open dialog screen will prompt you to locate the WindentCF database. The "File name:" field is where you will enter the database path. Enter the path you got from Windent Mobile Companion. DO NOT worry about navigating to the database. Simply enter the path and click Open.
Next, a copy and convert screen will appear. This is ActiveSync gathering information about the WindentCF database.
On this screen, make sure that you DO NOT change the file path, which is highlighted in red. This path must not be changed in order for Windent Mobile .Net to function properly. Click OK to continue and finish the import process.
The next screen will show you progess of the import. Once the import is complete, this screen will disappear and you will be ready to run Windent Moible Companion and Windent Mobile .Net.
